Press Release:For immediate release. May 5, 2008 The OTC Offshore Technical Conference and Exhibition at the Reliant Center located in Houston, Texas. Documented over 20% Increase in ProductionNSI Upstream, a division of NSI Management Company, has announced the completion of its most significant implementation of its well and facility management system, ‘Oil Field Commander’ (OFC) to date. This implementation continues to demonstrate that companies using OFC receive a direct and dramatic positive impact on their production and income statements. In this recent customer implementation, NSI’s customer has attested to the fact that the Oil Field Commander software suite has helped them add more than 100 million dollars to their bottom line in less than five months. It did that by providing both their engineers and operators with a toolset that they used together to exceed their production estimate by an astounding over twenty percent while also reducing production costs. At the time of this press release, the customer is presenting a SPE paper at an OTC session describing the OFC implementation. An additional and also documented example (SPE Paper 103248) from another one of NSI’s deepwater customers cites where a production engineer has documented a return on their entire investment in OFC of over five hundred percent on a single event. That customer also reported that they see that sort of thing happen “all the time”. NSI will introduce qualified prospective customers to its current customers so that they can hear first-hand how they can achieve similar results. Since inception, as both its independent and super-major customers will attest, NSI Upstream has been solving production problems and providing petroleum engineers with the real time tools they use every day to optimize production. The company has also maintained an active research and development team over the past seven years. As of this year, the over twenty man-years invested in the development of OFC has resulted in software tools and applications that are unmatched when it comes to its capabilities to address production problem-solving and optimization. OFC was designed and built specifically for the Oil & Gas Industry’s operators, production and reservoir engineers, and their management teams. Its tools and applications work with all brands of control systems, HMIs, data historians, reservoir applications, and production accounting applications. OFC is so intuitive and easy to use that NSI’s customers become very productive immediately—with little or no training. Return on an OFC investment typically begins from the onset of using it. One customer recently reported that they measured their payback period in minutes for one OFC Hurricane Evacuation Remote Operations (HERO) system. NSI Upstream has its offices in Lafayette and Houston.
