Functional Specification DevelopmentThe Functional Specification is a document that will describe what NSI will provide. It will be based on a Compliance Matrix prepared by NSI supplemented by requirements guided by NSI’s own experience. The Compliance Matrix is developed from a jointly constructed (between NSI and the client) system scope outline. Its structure captures the clients’ requirements in the context of NSI’s products, its applications, and the products and services of its business partners. Dual Role of the Compliance Matrix NSI structures the Compliance Matrix to indicate levels of compliance for its proposals. In addition, NSI anticipates that negotiations on technical issues typically lead to revisions and that the Compliance Matrix could be incorporated as part of the contract or purchase order. |
